Journey Church International with Pastor Christian Newsome

Missions and Outreach

At Journey Church International we are fulfilling the Great Compassion (Mt. 25:31-46) by connecting with and supporting local ministry partners who exist in our community to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit those imprisoned, and help hurting people. We give our resources, people, time, and money to effective local ministries so that their mission is carried out in Jackson and Cass Counties.

Community Impact

Serve Days

We will take the elements of “Love Week” and have opportunities for our people to serve during that day. We will have service projects, serve at Coldwater “Friends Day,” Community Clean-up, and deliver meals to First Responders, and have a church-wide donation drive to support local food pantries in Lee’s Summit. The heartbeat of the day will be for our church to find needs in our community and meet them!  Next Serve Day coming soon!

Love Week 2018

August 4-10, 2018

At JCI we believe in Community Impact, because we want to be church that exists FOR our community not just IN our community. During our Love Week 2017, we saw over 700 people serve over 4,300 hours!

We bring back all of the successful elements of our 2017 Love Week and make this one even better. We will have serve projects, community clean-up, meals and ministry to first responders, serving along side our ministry partners such as Coldwater, and a donation drive centered about “Back to School” backpacks to support the schools in our community. Serve with us during Love Week 2018 here!
